Flashlightinthedark.com is a financial blog that will light your way out of the darkness of debt and help you finally save money.
Like most people in their teens and twenties I collected a fair amount of debt by making foolish choices and having a buy-now-pay-later lifestyle. But now that I am in my thirties I am finally coming to terms with, and successfully paying off that collected debt. I am also moving forward and saving like never before.
I even have a 3-4 year plan: to have enough money to buy a yacht to live on. Something that I have wanted to do for a long time and only now have realised just how possible it is.
Being single with no dependents makes this both easy and difficult. Easy because I have no dependents that are a costly feature in today's world; yet difficult because I am a one-income household.
I believe however that the techniques that I have used and am still using to pay off my debt, as well as save can be used by anyone at any time in their life, no matter how you live.
